Brad Nguyen is a co-editor of Screen Machine. He studied Cinema Studies at the University of Melbourne, was the film reviewer for Triple R Breakfasters and has written for Senses of Cinema.
Screen Machine brings you film, media and cultural criticism from a group of young, mostly Melbourne-based writers. Some of us are film studies students, some working artists and filmmakers, some just impassioned enthusiasts. What unites us is our interest in and attention to the contemporary state of the cinema and its history, the state of film culture in our city, and an insistence on the need to relate one’s work in film and media criticism to cultural and political questions.
